Naming a business is an interesting process and there are many things to consider. I liken it to naming your child. Does it roll off the tongue, does it have familial significance, does it ‘fit’ with existing names, and most of all does it make you feel good when voicing the name?
I needed something that I would look forward to seeing, hearing, writing, but most of all SAYING. I Am Possible stems from the word impossible. When you first look at the word you see one meaning, but taking a deeper look, it takes on a different meaning – I’mPossible. This was the story of my life, I would desire to do things and when others said it was impossible, I always knew that I Was Possible.
Growing up, I was introduced to the scripture Philippians 4:13 which built the foundation of my perspective in life. Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” My dad took some creative license and added, “I can say what He says, I can have what He has, and I can do what He does because I am the Lord’s anointed”. I would repeat this to myself when I was nervous, scared, or excited to remind me of who I was and who I belonged to.
While this started in my childhood, it followed me throughout my life where someone would say ‘I’m sure Ms. I’mPossible will get it done—and I would! So, I Am Possible is an organization, an affirmation, and a reminder. The hope is for every client to discover their possibilities in seemingly impossible situations.
With Love,
